Life Legacy
Danielle L. Dyer, 26, of Oneonta passed away unexpectedly, Thursday March 4, 2010 at home.
She was born November 5, 1983 in Oneonta the daughter of Jonathan Dyer and Darlene Zeh.
Danielle graduated from Charlotte Valley Central School the Class of 2001. In May of 2006, Danielle received her nursing degree from Delhi Tech.
She was a nurse at M.I. Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown for several years up until the time of her illness.
Danielle had a passion in how she approached life. She had a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and a smile that would light up a room. Danielle was a very giving person. She would do for others and would give to others before taking anything for herself. But most of all, Danielle loved spending time with her daughter, the light of her life, Madison. She was especially loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Danielle is survived by her most precious daughter, Madison Morgan of Oneonta; her mother and stepfather, Darlene and William (Bill) Carrington of Oneonta; her father and stepmother, Jon and Megan Dyer of Oneonta; three sisters, Jeanette and Pete Tolson of Oneonta and Alison and Tricia Dyer of Oneonta; one brother, Todd Carrington of Oneonta; three nieces, Karly, Olivia and Molly Tolson of Oneonta; grandparents, Dorothy Zeh of Davenport Center, Margaret (Peg) Carrington of Oneonta, Patricia Brookes and John Troutman of Tully and Robert Newman and Katherine Hughes of Syracuse; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Burnett (Poppy) Zeh, Howard and Esther Dyer and Sterling Carrington; and great grandmothers, Bernice Rathbun and Elsa Carrington.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with the Reverend John Osterhout officiating. Burial will be held in the spring in the Cook Cemetery, West Oneonta. Memorial donations in Danielle’s name may be made to the After School Program at the Riverside Elementary School, 39 House Street, Oneonta, New York 13820.
