Biography
Cecil B. Wyckoff, Jr., 66, of Cooperstown passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Otsego Manor Cooperstown.
He was born July 28, 1943 in Oneonta the son of the late Cecil B. Wyckoff, Sr. and Gladys(Oliver)Wyckoff Knapp.
Cecil proudly served his country in the United States Army and the National Guard during the Vietnam Era.
For many years, Cecil drove milk truck of Earl T. Whadams of Phelps, NY. He also had worked as an engineer for the D&H Railroad in Oneonta.
Cecil enjoyed his John Deere tractors and helping others.
Cecil is survived by his children, John and Stephanie Wyckoff of Unadilla, Cecil and Brenda Wyckoff of Unadilla, Charles and Cammie Wyckoff of Coventry, Evelyn Seward of Richfield Springs, Cassandra Wyckoff of Walton and Brandi Wyckoff of Walton; nine grandchildren, John and Jenna Wyckoff, Shana and Donny Hall, Tesha Rhode, Alexis and Aaron Seward, Derek and Dustin Groat and Danielle Wyckoff; one great grandson, William Rhode; siblings, Debra and Carl Simonds of Otego, Donald and Bev Wyckoff of North Carolina, Denise and Bob Marvin of Otego and Bob Wyckoff of Florida; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Darlene Flo Wyckoff; and his brother, Hank Wyckoff.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 PM with the Reverend John Grenier Pastor of the Oneonta Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be held in the spring in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
